PARIS "�? A French court on Monday ordered the online auction giant eBay to pay 38.6 million euros, or $61 million, in damages to the French luxury goods company LVMH, in the latest round in a long-running legal battle over the sale of counterfeit goods on the Internet.
LVMH, a maker of high-end leather goods, perfumes and other fashion and luxury products, successfully challenged eBay for a second time in the French court, arguing that 90 percent of the Louis Vuitton bags and Dior perfumes sold on eBay are fakes.
The court ruled that eBay, which earns a commission on the sales, was not doing enough to stamp out counterfeit sales.

We can only hope that this ruling will aid in removing some of the fake junk off eBay.It is the buyer that would benefit most of it.

Well, this is quite the interesting one. Even though this Tory Burch Rayna Nubuck Mini Bag has a seemingly perfect score on my checklist of things I like in handbags, something seems a bit off. Let's take a closer look.
It's purple, and I don't have a problem with that beautiful grape shade at all- check. It's a crossbody, which is my favorite handbag style- check. The chunky whipstitching is combined with tough suede nubuck leather,Mbt Shoes on Sale, giving it a nice hand-tooled look- check. So what is it that's unsettling? I even like the juxtaposition of the rough suede with the clean, classy, bright gold links.
Well, my friends, I'm concluding that the single element that's been throwing me off is the logo, smack dab on the front of the flap. You know what I like? I like it when brands that we don't normally associate with handbags make a handbag line. Why do I like that so much? Sometimes, I think that the traditional handbag brands get so bogged down in their own branding that they can't see past it to innovate or make something exciting. I've heard many complain that that seems to be the case with Chanel lately, and I might agree. So I'm always looking for unexpected things, and today I saw the Yohji Yamamoto Leather Bag with Metal Rings.
I have no idea how long it's been out; I never click on the designer at eLuxury since he's not known for his bags. Although it doesn't appear so different than a regular bag at first, something about the proportion and handle look really interesting to me. It's entirely functional in pretty much every way that it needs to be, but it still has a minimalist, architectural quality to it that most designers don't think about incorporating when making a hobo bag out of soft leather. In the face of established designers becoming complacent, it's nice to see a relative outsider in the high-end handbag market do something interesting. Buy through eLuxury for $2000.

It's always disappointing when the handbags are the least impressive part of any collection, but with a line as inventive and exciting as Prada Spring 2011, I guess something had to get the short shrift.The collection's shoes (which you can check out over at TalkShoes) were the best of the season thus far, but the handbags left a bit to be desired for luxury lovers.

Every season, I fervently hope that the brand's runway bags will be fabulous enough to inspire the sort of devotion and panicked credit card-swiping that its shoes do, and my dreams are so rarely answered. Second-guessing Miuccia Prada is a rare thing for me to do, but in this case,www.buycheaplouisvuitton4u.com, a couple new members to her team might serve the overall brand (and handbag lovers everywhere) well. In the past few seasons, purses seem to be something of a lost business opportunity for the brand, and a well-positioned label like Miu Miu should be turning out It Bags hand over fist.
I'm not saying that the Miu Miu Spring 20 handbags are bad; they're not. They're fine for the very narrow look of this runway show, but they're not particularly relevant to anything beyond it, and most of them certainly don't look like what the Miu Miu customer carries in her day-to-day life. Badgley Mischka makes a snakeskin tote that is anything but basic - 2012
It's difficult to think of new ways to make a basic tote shape new and different, and although I really like the Badgley Mischka Suzanne Tote, I'm not sure that it can really be called "new" or "different." After all,Cheap chanel handbags, Beirn has a line of woven watersnake totes already. But sometimes different isn't a necessity, particularly in the face of a reasonably priced exotic bag that can be used year-round and all day.
This bag doesn't photograph particularly well because of the mixture of weaving and the the natural snake pattern, but in person, woven snake bags almost always look great. The double pattern provides a depth of visual field that's hard to achieve otherwise, and a somewhat random pattern like this one helps eliminate any signs of wear and tear, even on a bag that's mostly light-colored. For about $500, this is quite a bit of real snakeskin, used in a way that almost any woman could incorporate into her wardrobe. Buy through Zappos for $502.
It's hard to find a bag that's multicolored but still convincingly neutral, full of texture but not functionally impaired, and still within a somewhat reasonable price range. Add real snakeskin to the mix and that mission becomes nearly impossible. But somehow, Badgley Mischka not only managed to do it, but the did it better than Beirn.
